New Year’s is one of our favorite times of year around the Limerent office. There’s always a sense of cheery optimism about what the new year could bring! With that in mind, we got to thinking about what Limerent’s resolution should be After a lot of discussion we came to a simple conclusion: to use our powers for good.

You see, our mission has always been to help connect important ideas, messages and organizations, and we’ve been extremely good at it over the last handful of years. Our innovative campaigns designed to engage young people have driven sales and revenue for our clients, and we’re very proud of that. However, creating healthy cash flow one business at a time isn’t exactly changing the world.

That’s where this New Year’s resolution comes in. Over the last few years, we’ve had the opportunity to work on numerous prevention and public health campaigns, and we’ve liked it…a lot. It really feels like the pieces we are doing on these campaigns are making a difference in our community and in people’s lives. In short, it feels like this kind of work is truly important. So our 2017 New Year’s resolution will be helping prevention and public health organizations be more successful than they were the year before.

How are we going to do it? We are going to be giving away our most valuable asset to all community coalitions for free–our knowledge of marketing and messaging. We’ll be producing a weekly newsletter that is filled with what we know and how to do it. This way, we can support organizations regardless of their budget size with the tools they need to take advantage of the messaging opportunities that exist in the world, such as social media. It is our goal to help coalitions improve their communication and messaging strategies by taking tried and true marketing techniques and tactics, and tailoring them specifically for the prevention and public health fields.

We believe that community coalitions can accomplish more, and communicate better with their stakeholders, if they are properly armed with the information they need to be more purposeful and thoughtful in their messaging tactics. That’s why each newsletter article will not only contain the information you’ve been searching for, but also include action steps to help them put that information into practice. Rest assured, these articles will be comprehensive, but if you ever do have a question, we’re only an e-mail or a phone call away.
